At VMware, Mr. Doctor played a key role in driving the company’s information security strategy and growth, leveraging his extensive expertise in all areas of information security. Prior to VMware, he spent five years at Lumen, where he played a pivotal role in starting and growing their MSSP business.

Mr. Doctor is known for his ability to think creatively and strategically, and for his strong communication and leadership skills. He is highly respected by his colleagues and peers and has a reputation for delivering exceptional results.

Steven has been with the Company since 2016, serving as Chief Accounting Officer since February 2022 where he has played a pivotal role in overseeing the Company’s financial reporting and accounting functions, ensuring compliance and accuracy in all financial matters. Prior to this position, Steven held the title of Senior Vice President, Accounting and Controller, where he led various accounting initiatives and contributed to the Company’s financial strategy. His extensive experience also includes accounting and financial reporting roles at Serta Simmons Bedding, LLC, where he honed his skills in financial management and reporting. Steven began his career in public accounting at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he developed a solid foundation in auditing and financial analysis.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Master of Accounting from the University of Florida, and he is a licensed CPA in Georgia.

Under her leadership, the People & Culture team is focused on enabling employee success and fostering an environment that promotes engagement, inclusion, and well-being.

Beth joined First Advantage in a legal capacity, initially serving as Senior Associate Counsel. Over time, she advanced through several leadership roles within the Legal department, ultimately becoming Senior Vice President, Employment Counsel. Her deep expertise in employment law and human resources has uniquely positioned her to lead the People & Culture function with strategic insight and operational excellence.

Since being named Chief People & Culture Officer in November 2024, Beth has helped lead the successful integration of Sterling’s workforce into the broader First Advantage organization, focusing on aligning people strategies, processes, and culture.

Before joining First Advantage, Beth held roles at Microsoft and FCCI. She holds multiple certifications from the HR Certification Institute (HRCI). Beth earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida and her Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law.

Prior to joining the Company Mr. Nairne held the position of Chairman and Chief Executive Officer at Dataflow Group, a background screening company focused on high-risk, internationally mobile professionals. Before his tenure at Dataflow, Mr. Nairne held various positions, including an officer in the Canadian Army, a journalist for the South China Morning Post, and Chief Operating Officer of IntegraScreen. Mr. Nairne holds a B.A. from the University of Manitoba, a Master’s in Journalism from Hong Kong University, and a Master’s in Business Administration from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.

In practice for over 30 years, Bret brought his experience as a litigator, including commercial actions and regulatory inquiries, as well as corporate transactional work and corporate governance to First Advantage beginning in 2004.

With First Advantage’s core business of screening at the forefront, Bret has cultivated a significant emphasis and expertise in the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and state laws related to background screening. He not only offers comprehensive guidance to the company regarding FCRA compliance in service delivery but also regularly provides insight to First Advantage clients on legal matters related to their use of background screening reports.

Bret frequently participates in webinars, client advisory board meetings, and panel discussions with external counsel at seminars, addressing best practices and issues relevant to employers and the background screening industry. Moreover, given First Advantage’s global presence in background screening services, Bret oversees a team of regulatory compliance officers, focusing on data privacy laws and regulations to provide valuable guidance to both First Advantage and its global clientele.

Joelle maintains responsibility for the organization’s global product and technology P&L, which includes strategy, innovation, and development for all products and services offered by FA, and the global go-to-market teams, including sales, customer success, and marketing. Passionate about the positive impact inclusivity has on organizational culture, Joelle has also served as the executive sponsor of the Women’s Employee Resource Group (ERG) since 2021. 

Joelle’s ability to achieve results is noticed throughout the industry. In 2022, Joelle was awarded TAtech’s “Most Influential Talent Acquisition Thought Leader” and Constellation Research, “BT 150” for outstanding achievement in Business Transformation, she is passionate about leading by example and delivering valuable business outcomes. 

Prior to joining FA, Joelle held numerous executive roles in the technology consulting industry, where she drove corporate strategy and transformational change resulting in accelerated growth, improved financial performance, and market differentiation. 

Joelle holds a Bachelor of Science from East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania and was selected to the inaugural class of the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School Woman on Boards.

Before his tenure at First Advantage began in 2017, Scott was a co-founder of Mindtree, which launched in 1999. Mindtree is one of the largest global IT Services firms in the world with over $4B+ in Revenue and 86,000+ employees.  Throughout his time at Mindtree, Scott served as the president of the Americas and led the global vertical markets division. He is acknowledged as a “growth entrepreneur” and received recognition as the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year in Technology Services in 2015.

Scott actively contributes to industry publications, journals, webinars, and conferences. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Delaware and holds a master’s in business administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison, New Jersey.
